Bathroom

The bathroom, when we bought the house was decorated in Little-Old-Lady. We didn't love it, but we didn't hate it as much as we did some of the other rooms (Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen). Note the wall-paper filling the bottom panels of the doors. All three of them in the room.

We waited a while to tackle it.

Did you ever see the Mr Bean episode when he decides to paint his house? He buys a 5 gallon can of white paint, covers everything in newspaper that he doesn't want to paint, then throws big firecrackers in the paint can positioned in the middle of the room. For a while, our bathroom looked like we had followed Mr. Bean's advice.

We did, eventually paint it. The walls are a pale gray-green, the trim antique white.

We love the tranquil look.  Next, we are going to do something about the floor. Maybe paint the old vinyl tiles a sage green, a few shades darker than the walls.
